Professional Services

Law firms, accountants, and advisors sell judgment, and a website is the first sample of it a prospective client sees. The common failure is a site organized around the firm’s own service list rather than the client’s situation: a person facing a divorce or a tax problem does not know which practice area they need, they know what is happening to them. The site has to translate.

Two firms are on this page. Ledger & Pine CPA Advisors had a genuinely complex set of advisory services that needed to be made legible, so the site organizes them around client need rather than accounting vocabulary. Meridian Family Law Group had the harder tonal problem: staying approachable and steady for people arriving during a difficult moment, without becoming either cold or saccharine. Professional-services sites also carry things most industries do not: attorney and CPA credentials, bar and licensing details, disclaimers that have to be correct, and secure intake that respects confidentiality from the first contact.
